Fast living and lack of time force us to opt for a dangerous nutrition. Here are the most common mistakes:

  • You eat before you sleep. The pounds stick to you with every meal, not necessarily according to the time of day that you eat. Still, eating the evenings makes emptying the stomach harder, and slows digestion. The solution: avoid fat foods, have dinner at least 3 hours before going to bed.
  • You eat too fast. The consequences: disturbing the digestion and faster assimilation of the calories. Fast meals may provoke a puke sensation and burns. The solution: reduce the quantities of food, and while sleeping, keep the head higher than the rest of the body.
  • Oversized meals. This is a classic mistake people do when they are very hungry, by eating a lot of calories. The solution: have an appetizer that reduces the appetite, as it is in fact a lighter meal, and eat smaller portions. Eat more meals a day, in smaller portions.
  • Insufficient hydration. Consequences: slowing the metabolism, gaining weight, constipation. The solution: drink at least 2 liters of water a day, natural juices and green tea.
  • Whole cereal meals. Fiber contained by the cereals help to a better digestion. But many products, like whole grain bread, biscuits and others do not contain even half the necessary quantity needed to comply with the term “whole cereal based product”. Most of these products contain white flour with a small quantity of added whole cereals. The solution for you to be certain that you buy the right product is to read carefully the label, where the second ingredient is whole cereals.
